Welcome

Welcome to Hesperia Community Education. We are a full service organization offering many varied opportunities to the local community. We offer General Educational Development (GED) Preparation, High School Completion Courses for adult participants 20 and over and High School Diploma for pupils 16-19, Adult Basic Education (ABE), Credit Recovery, Leisure-Time Activities, as well as a variety of programs and services to the Hesperia Area Community.

Attention Unfinished GED Testers!

The current 2002 Series GED ® Test expires at the end of 2013 and any unfinished test scores will expire too. The new GED ® test begins in January 2014. Your future is calling. Answer the call today and finish your GED ® tests now.

Our last paper test will be November 19, 2013.

Are you a non-high school graduate?  Do you have your GED? Would you like additional training to further your success in life?

If you are over 20 and have not graduated from high school or you do or do not have a GED, you need to make an appointment to determine your eligibility for enrollment.  Many of our classes are FREE!  Find out how easy it is to come back to school!

FALL classes begin Tuesday, September 4, 2012-- Register for FREE Classes.

Classes are in session from 8:05 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Monday-Friday at Hesperia Community Education.

Hesperia Adult and Community Education program provides lifelong learning opportunities which are responsive to the diverse needs of students, parents, businesses and the community.

 

· Adult Basic Education - Innovative, non-graded, planned, self-paced individualized instruction designed to develop basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics and the English Language.

 

· GED Preparation - Individualized and self-paced instruction allows students to proceed at their own rates of learning.  Content includes reviews in English, mathematics, writing, social studies, science, literature and the arts.

 

· GED Testing Site - The only testing site in Newaygo County!  Registered students attending classes are free

 

· High School Completion - This program offers an alternative for students who wish to earn high school credits for a high school diploma.  Each student follows an individualized, self-paced instruction guide for each course of credit.  Credit is awarded upon successful completion of course requirements and the successful passing of a final assessment for each course.

 

· Alternative Education - This class provides an alternative to students who are at risk of dropping out or have dropped out of high school.  Students receive the support and encouragement necessary to renew their education.
