
A message from Mrs. Ingell:
Middle school students today will receive a panther buck for no missing assignments in their seminar. This Friday students will be able to buy a treat with the panther bucks and finish Round 2 of Battleship.
Next Thursday, students will participate in the incentive by having no RTC, ASD, ISS, or OSS's. Students will be able to sign up for electronics, movies, gym, board games, reading and other ideas for the incentive.

* Shout Out to Daylen Castillo for placing in the top 12 out of 30,000 students in the State of Michigan Patriots Pen essay contest! We are proud of him!
* Shout Out to elementary students Sparrow Forbes for taking 1st in the Spelling Bee, and Harley Pinnell for placing as the runner up! Shout out to middle school students Easton Hornbrook for taking 1st in the Spelling Bee, and Jack Parsons as the runner up! The first place winners will compete against students from local schools at NCRESA on February 18th. The runner-ups will take their place if necessary. Way to go, Panthers!
Parents, thank you for supporting us and coming together as a community to help others during Pink Out! It was awesome to see and experience again this year!


UPDATE- The Middle School and High School Glow Dances have been CANCELLED for Friday, 2/7. More info to come on a reschedule date.
We have a couple GLO NIGHTS coming up this Friday! Be sure to look at the flyers for details.
The Middle School has a GLOW activity night coming up on Friday! It is in the MS Gym and Cafeteria on 2/7 from 5-7 pm. Cost is $5. This is for grades 5-8.
The High School also has a GLO dance on Friday! It will be in the HS Gym on 2/7 from 8-11 pm. Cost is $5 if also attending the home basketball game, otherwise is $10 to enter. This is for gradse 9-12.



Congratulations to our Spelling Bee finalists!!! Sparrow Forbes placed first in the elementary, while Easton Hornbrook won the middle school. Harley Pinnell and Jack Parsons as runners-up!!!
The two winners will move on to represent Hesperia at the County Bee in February.
Shout out to all our spellers, even the ones who left before we could snap a group photo. We couldn't BEE prouder!!! Way to go, Panthers!!!

We are continuing with incentives and panther buck earnings for students' second semester going toward items that students can purchase with them and towards entrance fees to home sports events. This Friday, students may purchase a treat out of seminar with a panther buck. This week it is going to be frigid outside. Please be safe out there and enjoy Martin Luther King Jr. and Inauguration Day!

* Hesperia Pink Out 2025 is Wednesday, January 29th, with Senior Night beginning at 4:45 p.m. and wrestling beginning at 5:00 p.m. You can support by sponsoring a wrestler, raffle items donated, purchasing a pink out shirt, sharing a post, and coming to the event. If you have questions, contact Mrs. Walker or Mrs. Kammer.
* Middle school writing club sign up sheets are in the middle school office. A meeting will be scheduled this week. More information will be forthcoming.

Middle school students will receive a panther buck for no missing assignments on Monday. The semester ends this Friday, January 17th. We will be having an assembly on Friday for the November and December student of the month, and panther buck drawing for prizes. We are continuing with incentives and panther buck earnings going toward items that students like, and towards entrance fees to home sports events. This seems to be working great for staff and students! Our students are working hard and we appreciate it!

The elementary and middle school spelling bee is on Tuesday, January 28th. The elementary is at 8:30 am-10:30 am, with middle school from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. This will be held in the high school cafeteria. A Zoom link will be announced soon.

Welcome back to school students! Middle school students will receive a panther buck on Tuesday for no missing assignments, instead of on Monday. On Monday, teachers will be going over expectations for classrooms and the building as a reminder for students. Parents, the semester ends on January 17th, only two weeks away. Please check skyward on grades and missing assignments. Students have two weeks to finish strong!
On January 17th, we will be having an assembly for student of the month for November and December, along with a panther buck drawing for prizes to finish the semester. This Friday, students will be able to buy a snack for two panther bucks again! We are doing great this year, let's keep panther pride rolling!
Middle School Sports and Activities:
* In the library today is a blood drive being held by the National Honor Society. If you can donate, please come on in or schedule an appointment. Thanks for donating for an awesome cause!
* Girls and Boys Middle School sports start up again. MS Wrestling practice begins today after school until 5:15 with a parent meeting immediately following. MS Girls Basketball signups are coming out soon! Stay tuned.

A message from Mrs. Ingell:
Due to the snow day, we shifted some of the events for the week, so we could still do all of the activities planned for incentives. The student of the month assembly for November and December will be held in early January instead. The 5th, 7th, and 8th grade will be doing Reindeer Mascots, and the 6th grade gym games on Tuesday during seminar. Thursday, the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade will be having cookies. The fifth and seventh grades will be doing mad libs, sixth grade will be doing Reindeer Mascots, and eighth grade will be participating in gym games. Friday, 5th grade has their party, 6th grade will have Mad libs, 7th grade gym games, and 8th grade cookies and finishing Mad libs.
I want to thank the staff for being amazing in the planning and participating in all of these incentives this year! A special shout out to Josh Page in creativity and planning!

The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball games are cancelled tonight due to the snow day.
National Honor Society Induction Ceremony in the high school is at 6:00 p.m. tonight!

A note from Mrs. Jennifer at Project Focus:
Unfortunately, with school being closed on 12/12, Project FOCUS is also closed. We will reschedule our Bellwether Field trip for after winter break.
There will also not be Project Focus programming on Wednesday, December 18th or Thursday, December 19th. The last day of programming before break will be Tuesday.

An important message in regards to tonight's band and choir concerts:
We are moving tonight's concert times up due to weather conditions and some last minute changes to other schedules.
6th gr is unchanged and will still perform at 6:30
Choir is unchanged and will still perform at 7:00
After the choir we will immediately start the 7th & 8th grade band, HS Jazz Band and HS Concert Bands with no waiting in between. We are hoping this will speed things along.
Please plan accordingly and notify family and friends who might not receive this information.

Middle school students will be getting a panther buck today if they have no missing assignments. Tomorrow, they will get a panther buck in their classes if they have no tardies this marking period in them. This week we are continuing the mystery week challenge to earn the incentive on December 6th. Students need to be working hard on their academics and making good choices on behavior.
