Age Requirement - Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026. If your child turns 5 between September 2 and December 1, they may still be eligible to attend.

Step One: Complete the PowerSchool Pre-Registration Form

Once your pre-registration form has been approved, you will receive an email with instructions for completing the registration process, usually within 24 hrs.

*Please fill out the Pre-Registration form once for each student you are wishing to enroll.

Step Two: Setting up PowerSchool Parent Portal and Complete Electronic Enrollment Forms

Complete the New Student Enrollment Packet via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you would like to complete the Parent Portal and Electronic Forms at our Registrar's Office, please call 231-854-6719 to schedule an appointment.

Step Three: Required Documentation

  • Official Birth Certificate

  • Immunization Record

  • Two Proofs of Residency  (Driver's License, Rental/Lease Agreement, Mortgage Statement, Utility Bill dated within the last 60 days, or Voter Registration Card, etc)

Other Required Documents (if applicable):

  • Current IEP or 504 Plan

  • Custody/Guardianship Documents 

Kindergarten Only

  • Dental Screener (Kindergarten Oral Health Assessment Program - KOHA)

The KOHA Public Health Code Act 368 Section 333.9316 ensures children entering their first year of school receive an oral health assessment (dental screening) prior to starting school. The assessment must be done by a Registered Dental Hygienist, Dentist, or Dental Therapist.

Children entering kindergarten in Michigan are eligible to receive this FREE service provided by local health departments.

Kindergarten Hearing & Vision Screenings

Screenings are FREE of charge through your local health department.

  • Hearing: Grades K, 2, and 4

  • Vision: Grades 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 (or in conjunction with driver’s training)
