As our professional school bus drivers head out early each morning, we want to remind everyone about the importance of the “Danger Zone” — the area 10 feet in front, behind, and on both sides of the bus.
⚠️ Did you know? This is the most dangerous area around a school bus because it’s hardest for the driver to see you.
👉 Always make sure your bus driver can see you!
🎒 If you drop something near the bus, never pick it up without letting your driver know first.
Let’s work together to keep every student safe around our school buses!

The Transportation Department is proud to join the nationwide Operation Safe Stop initiative in recognition of National School Bus Safety Week!
Throughout the week, law enforcement agencies across the county will be actively patrolling roadways to support our drivers and help identify motorists who fail to stop for school buses.
Remember — the few seconds it takes to stop for a school bus can save a life!
Hesperia Community Schools is proud to celebrate School Bus Safety Week by recognizing the incredible work our Transportation Team does every day to keep our students safe. 💛 Make sure you thank a bus driver this week!
