On November 4, 2025, Hesperia voters will have the opportunity to vote on a bond initiative that would help the district generate $11.7 million to fund districtwide facility upgrades for current and future generations of Panther students. It is expected that the bond initiative would result in NO INCREASE above the current debt millage rate, ensuring that our district could continue to improve our schools without raising debt tax rates above 2024 levels for our community!

Panther Families:
If you have not filled out the Education Benefits Form for the 25-26 school year, please take a moment to complete the form and return it to your student’s school. Each building is sending home these forms with students if they have not yet received them. Please watch for the paper form to fill out, or you can opt to do this online (see the link below).
The Education Benefits Form collects information needed to ensure the school receives state and federal funding for education programs. Without this information, Hesperia Community Schools could lose important funding for education programs that our students need.
It is very important for our at-risk funding that every family completes this form correctly and returns it to the district by Thursday, September 18 by the latest.
A few Notes for parents and guardians for the form to be recorded properly;
1. Only 1 form per household must be completed. Please do not complete a different form for each child in your household.
2. Students first and last names must be written in.
3. If any Member of the household receives Food Assististance Program (SNAP), Family Independence Program (TANF), or FDPIR provide the name and case number for the person who receives benefits. The case number and name must be recorded or the form cannot be recorded. Direct Certification is not guaranteed if a family receives benefits so writing "I don't know my number" is not acceptable. If the person completing the form can specify which program they participate in that would be helpful but not required. ( SNAP, TANF or FDPIR. )
4. Household size must be recorded. This includes everyone in the household not just students.
5. Household Income must be recorded.
Follow the highlighted directions on the form I highlighted and have attached for this portion of the survey. Basically you choose your household size and the general annual income range per year and mark the appropriate box. (Yearly, not Monthly.)
If a household has 8 or more family members there is a space to record household number and the annual income. (Yearly, not Monthly.)
6. All forms must have the signature of the person who completes it.

We greatly appreciate your support in helping us to get these forms submitted to secure the district's funding. Thank you!

Here is the Panther Update for the week. Wishing you a relaxing holiday weekend.

A Weekly Middle School Update from Mrs. Ingell:
Parents and students,
Thank you for your patience and understanding this week as we are all getting used to a new PowerSchool management system! If you are returning to our school or joining us for the first time, we are excited to share a new year with all of you! With new systems, sometimes there are challenges that are encountered. We are diligently working on them and moving forward on progress everyday!
In middle school today, students went to all of their classes and met their teachers. I could see students smiling and enjoying their first day. We are working on clearing up any scheduling needs, lockers, and any other unforeseen issues this week. Please keep being patient and understanding as we continue moving forward!
Important Permission Slip for 6th through 8th graders:
Students came home with a permission slip for the 2025 Tech Showcase being held on September 16th at Grandville High School. Please be looking for this tonight, and return this signed by Friday, August 29th. Thank you so much!
Parents, we are looking forward to another successful year! We love having you on our team!
Mrs. Ingell
