Panther Families:
Just a reminder that we have a half day of school tomorrow.

A Message from Nurse Sayer:
This school year DHD#10 will more than likely not be able to make it into most schools to provide services due to staffing. The alternative plan is to offer clinics at DHD#10 offices. We understand this is not the most ideal and we apologize for the inconvenience.
I have attached a flyer with the 3 upcoming clinics, one in Wexford County, one in Mason County, and one in Oceana County. Children can also have vision checked with an eye doctor; hearing can be checked off by most primary care offices.

We’re one week away from election day!
Remember to vote on or before November 4.

Do you have questions about the proposed bond or want additional information? Please attend our open house TONIGHT!

How will the bond proposal impact my taxes?
The bond is designed so that there will not be a change to the estimated 2025 tax rate compared to the 2024 tax rate. Meaning, the tax rate you paid in 2024, 7.5 mills for the current debt is expected to remain the same in 2025 if the bond proposal is approved.

Message from the Transportation Department:
This Wednesday and Thursday morning, our Transportation Department will be conducting school bus evacuation drills. These proactive trainings help ensure that both drivers and students are well-prepared in the event of an emergency.
We want to emphasize that the school bus is an extension of our classrooms—safety and preparedness are part of our learning environment.
Please note that students may be excused for being late on these days. All school buildings have been notified. If you have questions and/or concerns, please reach out to the Transportation office.
Together we achieve,
Kadin R. Haddock
Transportation Director

Take a look at what our Michigan Association for Pupil Transportation created with RFK Race Car Driver Ryan Preece to promote School Bus Safety!
As our professional school bus drivers head out early each morning, we want to remind everyone about the importance of the “Danger Zone” — the area 10 feet in front, behind, and on both sides of the bus.
⚠️ Did you know? This is the most dangerous area around a school bus because it’s hardest for the driver to see you.
👉 Always make sure your bus driver can see you!
🎒 If you drop something near the bus, never pick it up without letting your driver know first.
Let’s work together to keep every student safe around our school buses!

The Transportation Department is proud to join the nationwide Operation Safe Stop initiative in recognition of National School Bus Safety Week!
Throughout the week, law enforcement agencies across the county will be actively patrolling roadways to support our drivers and help identify motorists who fail to stop for school buses.
Remember — the few seconds it takes to stop for a school bus can save a life!
Hesperia Community Schools is proud to celebrate School Bus Safety Week by recognizing the incredible work our Transportation Team does every day to keep our students safe. 💛 Make sure you thank a bus driver this week!
